WE BELIEVE
- The Bible is the infallible Word of God and is without error; human authors were inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit to write it.
- God is a Triune being. He is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Each member of the Triune has different functions, they are united as one in power and authority.
- In the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus was born of the virgin, Mary. He suffered, shed His blood, and died on a cross. He was resurrected by the Holy Spirit on the third day after His death. Only through this finished work of Christ can humankind be free from the power of sin and Satan.
- Salvation is a gift from God and humankind cannot earn it. It only comes through the power that is in the blood of Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
- It is God’s desire to use regenerated humankind to establish His will and show forth His glory in the earth.
- Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and will return to earth again to gather to Himself those who belong to God.
- Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is a choice. Those who accept Him will live with Him throughout eternity.
- There is a heaven as the reward of the believer beyond death, including a bodily resurrection from the dead.
Likewise, there is a hell as the reward of the unbeliever beyond death, including a bodily resurrection to live in everlasting torment and separation from God. - Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, which is the Body of Christ. His Church will be glorious and holy.
- The Great Commission was given by Christ and is binding on every believer to “go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature” which is the good news of the Jesus Christ.
- The spiritual Church is the Body of Christ. The physical Church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world.
